The Rev. Dr. Jason Monroe Haddox ("Fr. Jason" or simply "Jason" in person) was born in Baytown, Texas in 1969. He is a loyal Rice Owl (Richardson College, 1992) where he earned a B. A. in English Literature. During his time at Rice, he became part of the Canterbury Association at Autry House and was confirmed at St. John the Divine, Houston in 1991. After college he had the good sense and good fortune to marry Shannon Hobbins (Jones College, 1992, B.S. Mech. E.) and began working as a technical writer and editor for a computer software programming company. He attended the Episcopal Theological Seminary of the Southwest (now The Seminary of the Southwest) in Austin, Texas, graduating in 2000 with an Master’s in Divinity. He served as Associate Rector at St. Paul’s, Waco, Texas, and Campus Missioner to the Baylor Episcopal Student Ministry at All Saints’ Chapel from 2000-2003. He then attended Drew University in Madison, New Jersey, earning a Ph.D. in Liturgical Studies in 2012. He served churches in New Jersey and Georgia before coming to St. Michael’s in August of 2016. He is currently the vice-president of the Associated Parishes for Liturgy and Mission, and is the newly appointed editor of Open: The APLM Journal. Favorite leisure activities include reading, cooking, listening to and making music (in groups) and taking care of the household feline population (currently two senior citizens and one adolescent.)

Nancy has lived in Norman all of her life. She grew up with a large extended family. In May of 2006, Nancy was ordained by Bishop Robert Moody and served at St. Johns in Norman until the spring of 2010. On Christmas Eve of 2010, Nancy became the Deacon at St. Michael's. She and her husband Tom have been married since Nov. 4, 1983. They have two daughters, Caitlin and Crystal and one granddaughter Luna.

Rev. Laura BlazekDeacon

Laura has been at St. Michael's since 2000. She served as formation director and youth group leader from 2003 to 2012. In 2012 she began training as a vocational deacon. She became a candidate for Holy Orders in the summer of 2014 and has been assigned to St. Michael's for deacon field work for the past 2 years.

Laura graduated from the deacon formation program in June of 2015 and was ordained on August 2nd. When not at church, she spends time with her husband and 2 kids and works as a small animal veterinarian in Norman.
