Rick was born in Syracuse, NY. A cradle Episcopalian has allowed him to have a in the church community. Even though one never understands that at a very young age, you only think at the time, ‘Do I really have to go to church every Sunday and participate?’ After serving in the US Air Force for 22 years, he retired in 1994.

Rick and Donna met in California while both were stationed at George AFB, just north of San Bernardino. They married in 1993 and in December will be celebrating 22 years of marriage. They have two daughters and a son, and three grandsons. They moved back to this area to be closer to the grandsons, and then their oldest daughter decided to move here too. One daughter and grandson live near Little Rock Arkansas.

With St .Michaels I have donated time to expand the Cristian formation ‘Godly Play’ program with woodworking and fabrication of the pieces for the lessons. Helped with time for the Michaelmas Fair flea market for the past 2 years, aluminum can recycle.

They both enjoy the community at St. Michael’s. Rick was elected as Sr. Warden and started that position in February of 2014. Who could have seen that it would turn into a full time job for him? He and Donna both truly enjoy the opportunity to serve the church to their fullest abilities and look forward to serving with all of you for a long time to come.

For St. Michaels I would like to see each of us Teach Service to children and adults, for St. Michael’s Church Community by ‘Leading by Example.’ This is where time, talent and treasury come into play.

The more you love, the more love you get in return.

ADMINISTRATION AND FINANCE TEAM works with the church treasurer, financial secretary, church administrator, Senior Warden, and Rector to prepare the church’s proposed budget for the congregation. The TEAM also serves as an administrative and personnel committee to produce and update all staff job description’s when needed.

EAnn Robinson is a cradle Episcopalian who has been a member of St. Michael's since 1982. She grew up in Colorado and Montana where she met and married her husband, Tom. They had a chance to relocate to Oklahoma in 1982 and "get rich" during the oil boom. When the boom busted shortly thereafter, they made the decision to stay in Oklahoma because they loved the people and Norman and felt their children would have more opportunities here. Tom earned his teaching degree at the University of Oklahoma and teaches in Norman. EAnn was blessed to work for Jim Agar for over 20 years eventually becoming part owner and general manager of a chain of specialty grocery stores. Jim's mentoring also enabled her to volunteer and help begin what is now Bridges; a program for Norman high school students who are living independently.

EAnn has served St. Michael's as Senior Warden, several times on the vestry, and once on a search committee. She raised over $65,000 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society through their Team in Training program and has completed three full marathons and numerous half marathons. EAnn is currently employed by McFarlin Memorial United Methodist Church as their Financial Secretary where she participated in a medical mission trip to Haiti. Afterward, she raised enough money to expand dental clinic resources for future missions.

EAnn and Tom have four children and three grandchildren. Catie lives in South Korea with her husband. Scott is in Richmond, VA with his wife and son. Daisy (adopted through the Bridges program) lives in Yukon with her husband and two daughters, and Angie (Daisy's sister) lives in Norman. The Robinson family has been richly blessed.

I was baptized, confirmed and served as an acolyte at St. John's in Norman. Most of my adult life was spent in cities and countries far from Norman. During that time, I was consciously or unconsciously searching for a way to a closer union with God's presence. The first way I found was Buddhist meditation, which I have been practicing daily for over forty years, and in a three-year group retreat in France.

Gradually I came to feel something missing in my relations with God and other people. The missing piece was shown to me irresistibly from the moment I first walked into St. Michael's sanctuary and was overwhelmed by a wave of unconditional love which broke over me and has held me ever since.

My main hope and dream for St. Michael's is to find ways of preserving and deepening the love of God and of all beings which characterizes our congregation, and to make it our legacy for future parishioners to go on sharing with all they meet.
