July 9: Zootopia- Judy Hopps has had the dream of being the first bunny police officer since she was a kid. Episcopal Youth Event
July 10-14: The Diocese of Oklahoma is hosting the international Episcopal Youth Event (EYE) at the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond. Over 1500 guests (teens and adults) are expected from across the United States, Europe, Micronesia, South America and elsewhere. Volunteers are needed for a variety of roles as hosts and ministers of hospitality for this event. Go to the diocesan webpage (www.epiok.org) and click on the “Volunteer for EYE” button to sign up and learn more!
The diocese is still looking for volunteers for E.Y.E for all positions. Information can be found here http://www.epiok.org/dfc/newsdetail_2/3184010
EYE Guests from Georgia
July 14-16: Following the EYE event in Edmond, a group of fifteen (12 youth, 3 adult) pilgrims from the Diocese of Georgia will stay at St. Michael’s on Friday and Saturday nights. They will participate in a local service project, visit the Chickasaw Nation Recreation Center, and worship with us on Sunday. Since St. Michael’s is not equipped with shower facilities, we need to borrow a few nearby bathrooms on Saturday night to get our pilgrims washed up! We also need cooks willing to make meals (Friday lunch and supper, Saturday breakfast and supper, Sunday breakfast.) Please contact Fr. Jason (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Deacon Laura (email@example.com) if you can help with either of these needs.
