Wise Women Luncheon
All women in the church are invited to our next Wise Women luncheon on Saturday, May 27th, at 11:30 AM. Rosemary Ford will be hosting the luncheon in the in-gathering space at the church, and she would appreciate any volunteers to co-host. If you are able to bring a dish to share, we will all enjoy it; but if not, please still join us for the fellowship and lunch. Please contact Sherry Sparks, 405-823-6020, with any questions.
SOAR (Singles Outreach and Resource)
St. Michael’s SOAR group meets for lunch one Sunday a month immediately following the 11:00 a.m. service. Our next gathering will be Sunday, May 28th, at Blackbird Gastropub located at 575 S. University, Norman. Guests, friends, family, neighbors and couples are always welcome to join in this lunch fellowship. If you have questions about SOAR or would like to RSVP, please contact Paula Magarian at email@example.com or Rita Akin at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Choral Evensong Sunday, May 28
The Choir of St. Michael’s and the St. Cecilia Guild will offer Evensong in commemoration of Bede the Venerable, monk and church historian, Sunday, May 28th at 5:00 p.m. A reception will follow, with a brief presentation by Dr. Roberta Magnussen of the OU History Department on the life and work of Bede. Please mark your calendars and plan to be with us for this gathering.
Offices will be closed, Monday, May 29th.
We have an ECW meeting coming up on Sunday, June 4 at 12:30 pm, in the in-gathering space. Please bring a cold dish to share and we’ll dine pot-luck style. If materials are available, we’ll stay for a couple of hours after the meeting finishes to make scarves for the Christmas dinner. All women of St. Michael’s are invited to attend.
SCRIP orders are due again on June 4th. If you are not familiar with the SCRIP program, contact Amy Gardner, Melissa Gray, or Donna Young for information.
